Assembling Your Ornaments

We won't go into too much detail on how to assemble the ornaments. Instructions on how to assembly your Christmas ornaments is included in the How to make Christmas Ornaments page. For now, we'll just jump ahead to see what you can do with your clear ornaments.

Filled Ornaments

Idea 1 - Fill the ornament with small colorful beads that symbolize the Christmas holidays...like Red, Green and White.

You can blend other color mixtures like silver and gold as well.

Idea 2 - Instead of beads use tinsel to fill the bulb. The silver or golden tinsel clumped together gives a glittery effect to the ornament.

Idea 3 - Coat the empty bulb in glitter. This is probably the easiest to do if you have small children...of course it is also the messiest but that's what makes it fun!

Coated Simple Homemade Christmas Ornaments

Of course you can do other things like use the liquid snow or flocking to coat the outside as well...or inside for that matter.

The point is to be creative and have fun making your cheerful yet simple homemade Christmas ornaments.

Now of course you can paint the bulbs as well but try other ideas like using old colorful Christmas cards and a paper shredder to fill the bulb. Whether it is strip cut or confetti cut you should be able to make some very colorful ornaments.

Have fun, get into the spirit and with any luck in 20 years you will have not only a cheerful collection of ornaments but the memories to go with them.

God Bless and Merry Christmas!
